Le Printemps: A Clorivia Zine is a fanzine dedicated to the relationship between Clorinde and Navia from Genshin Impact. In this project, we will explore through art and writing the various moments, imagined or known, of their relationship from their childhood, teenage years and early adulthood, to a potential future after the canon events of Genshin Impact.This project will pull together artists and writers to represent three different periods of Clorinde and Navia’s relationship:
1) Childhood, teenage years and early adulthood;
2) Callas’s death and time apart following it;
3) Relationship mending after the Fontaine Archon Quests (Chapter IV, Acts I through V), including imagined, possible futures short or long after the canon content.
We plan for this content to be assembled into a physical & digital book of 100 to 125 pages, accompanied by physical merchandise and potential digital merch.Does this mean that the zine will only feature canon content? No. Our zine will also feature canon-divergent and alternate universe content that fits in with or reflects the canon ‘arcs’ their relationship has gone through.We also plan on creating a NSFW digital-only side-zine which will allow canon, canon-divergent and alternate universe content without regard as to the canon universe story arcs of Clorinde and Navia's relationship.Please note that this zine has a strict anti-harassment policy. Anyone found to engage in bigotry, harassment, or otherwise disrespectful or inflammatory behaviour aimed at a group of people or specific people will not be eligible to join this zine.

1) What is a “fanzine”?
The word “fanzine”, sometimes shortened to just “zine”, is a compound word formed from “fan” + “magazine”. It refers to an unofficial, independent collection of creative works (including art and writing), which is usually inspired by a preexisting work of fiction, a selection of works, a theme or a genre. In our case, this zine is based on the fictional relationship of Clorinde and Navia from Genshin Impact.
2) Is this zine physical or digital?
This will depend on the results of our interest check, but we hope for this zine to be available as a physical book with physical merch to purchase, as well as a digital version. We also plan on creating a NSFW digital-only side-zine.
3) Is this zine for-profit or for-charity?
We plan for this zine to be for-profit, or split for-profit and for-charity. No matter what, contributors will be allowed to have any monetary compensation they would be owed to be sent to a charity based in the US.
Profits allowing, we plan on compensating our contributors with a free full bundle of the zine and any produced merch items. If that is not possible, other options will be offered to contributors. All profits after sales & fulfillment will be shared equally amongst all moderators and contributors.4) Is this zine SFW or NSFW?
The main, physical zine will be SFW, with the inclusion of canon-typical violence. The digital-only side-zine will be NSFW.
5) What type of content will be featured in the zine?
Our main SFW zine will/may include the following:
❀ Full page and spread illustrations
❀ Short comics (1 to 3 pages)
❀ Spot art—accepted page and comic artists will be allowed to contribute one as an extra piece
❀ Short stories between 2,500 and 3,500 words
❀ Letters and/or journal entries
❀ Poems
❀ Flavour writing—accepted writers will be allowed to contribute flavour writing, which is a short ficlet of about 100 words or a short poem to accompany an artwork
Our NSFW zine will/may include the following:
❀ Full page and spread illustrations
❀ Short comics (1 to 3 pages)
❀ Short stories between 2,500 and 4,500 words
The page size for both volumes will be A5.6) How old do contributors need to be to apply?
Contributors must be 18 years old or older at the time applications close in order to apply to this zine, whether they want to contribute to the SFW component, the NSFW component, or both.
7) How many contributors do you plan on accepting?
We are hoping to accept up to 20 page, spot & comic artists in the main zine and up to 6 writers for the main zine, as well as up to 5 merch artists. We plan on including up to 6 writers and up to 10 page/spot/comic artists for the NSFW side-zine, but these numbers may include some contributors who would like to contribute to both the SFW and the NSFW zine. These numbers are inclusive of guests, and may change depending the quality of applications received.
8) Can I apply to more than one position?
Yes, but this also means that you may be accepted for more than one, so please consider your workload throughout the zine production period carefully.
